Philip started Denver Decks in 1984 with a simple belief: if you do quality work at fair prices and treat people right, the business will take care of itself.
42 years later, that philosophy hasn't changed. We still don't ask for money down. We still use premium materials. And we still stand behind every project we build.
What has changed is our expertise. We've seen what works in Colorado's demanding climate — the freeze-thaw cycles, the intense UV, the hail storms. We know which materials last and which techniques hold up.
That knowledge comes from 42 years of doing the work. You can't fake experience.

Philip is the owner of Denver Decks and the managing member of Denver Decks, LLC. He is the Deck Answer Man, so please do not hesitate to give him a call at 303-730-9642 for accurate answers to any deck, arbor or patio question. He has a real passion to serve our Lord Jesus Christ and to help your family well. We desire that you can get accurate answers to these difficult questions, to also understand the issues thoroughly so that you can make the best decisions that are possible.
Philip has been the heart of Denver Decks for over 42 years, personally overseeing operations and ensuring every project meets our high standards.

Paul
Chief Design Estimator
Paul served Christ in the field for many years as a talented deck carpenter and cut man with his own crew. Since 2013 he has been serving as a seasoned design consultant for decks, patios and all types of roofs and shade arbor projects. He is responsible for the many details that make your project run smoothly.
Mike
Product Superintendent
Mike is talented and prolific at many areas of the carpentry craft. As Product Superintendent, he assures that products we build are consistent to an exceptionally high standard of construction and held to a level of honesty and integrity unmatched in this industry. He trains every carpenter at a higher level of skill.
Jay
Field Manager
Jay was a master deck builder for many years and after serving as one of the most diligent Master Carpenters, he now serves as the Chief Field Manager for all carpenter deck crews. He coordinates all job site preparations, trailer and equipment management, and accurate training of new carpenters.
Jim
Master Carpenter
Jim has been building all manner of carpentry for over three decades and has worked with us for the last two decades. He is a true Master Carpenter and quite possibly the best teacher of this generation of young men coming of age in carpentry. The hardest and most difficult projects are his specialty.
Alex
Master Carpenter
Alex is accomplished in many different areas of construction and construction management. His well executed talent and knowledge of construction systems outweigh his years on this earth. His unwillingness to settle for less than the best quality leads him to solve complex problems in ways that teach the rest of us.
Rudy
Master Carpenter
Rudy is one of the newest members of our building team, but you would never know it by the excellence of his work. A talented and quality-minded true craftsman, he has been building some of our most intricate deck and roof designs with very great promise for the future.
Chris
Master Carpenter
Chris has well executed talent and knowledge of construction systems. His unwillingness to settle for less than the best quality and integrity in building leads him to solve complex problems in ways that teach the rest of us. The talent and level of experience is truly seen in this crew.
Mick
Master Carpenter
Mick is tenacious in his willingness to learn from his own mistakes and successes, and to bounce back in sheer diligence to overcome the day's circumstances. A good carpenter is not usually found intact, but is made through the many fiery trials and problems of everyday life.
Carlos
Concrete Foreman
Carlos serves as the Concrete Project Manager, with an eye for quality, aesthetics and function. A master at the use and blend of colors, finish and their blends that make it look real. He has excelled at the talents God has blessed him with for decades.
